From the cover: “This manual has been compiled for the purpose of assisting Austin Distributors and Dealers to service and maintain the Austin-Healey Sprite Mk.l.
Each assembly of the major components is described in detail. In addition, instructions are given for dismantling, assembling and adjusting these assemblies. Use of the correct Service Tools contributes to an efficient, economic and profitable repair. References have, therefore, been made to such tools throughout the Manual.
When ordering spares it is imperative that operators use the ‘service Parts List’ of the appropriate model and not the Manual. It is emphasised that only B.M.C. Genuine Parts should be used as replacements for components found unfit for further service.”
