Description: Illustrated with black and white photographs. From the cover: “If there is anything you want to know about speedway racing, then four times World Champion Barry Briggs is the man to read. His respected opinions are based upon 25 years of first hand experience.

Briggo arrived in England as a wide-eyed ambitious teenage hopeful from New Zealand, the world his oyster. In the following years the globe-trotting Kiwi has won every title, every award that matters.

In addition to those World Championship crowns — in 1957,1958, 1964 and 1966 — he has featured in almost every big international occasion in every speedway country in the world.

In addition to his on-track exploits, where he is still going strong, Barry Briggs M.B.E. has carved for himself a new niche… as an author, columnist, commentator and pundit of unrivalled perception.

In Trackin’ with Briggo he takes the lid off many of the sport’s controversial aspects, gives brilliant in-depth assessments of the emerging big names — such as 1974 World Champion Anders Michanek, swash-buckling Australian hope Phil Crump and England’s title contender Dave Jessup.

He compares speedway ‘75 style with the game as he knew it on his arrival in England; analyses tactical and political talking points of the moment, and as ever, garnishes it all with first hand information and pertinent anecdotes.”
