A marriage is happily arranged and his company ‘Amateur Players of Sherborne’ is born.
« As It Was » is the story of A.P.S. told by Frederick B. Alcock — or ‘Fred’ as he is invariably referred to by so very many; in itself an expression of the remarkable affection felt by their ‘children’ off the marriage. First let some of the ‘boys and girls’ say for themselves how they feel about this gifted and strongly individualistic Player.”
