The plates in this book represent some of the L finest waterfowl illustrations ever printed, selected from the works of three great ornithological artists of the nineteenth century, original editions of whose books are now in the Library of the Natural History Museum, London. Whilst the domestic ducks with which we are most familiar are all descendants of the wild duck or Mallard, the range and colouring of the entire family is vast, having something of the order of 50 species. This variety of colour and habitat inspired the pens and brushes of Alexander Wilson, John James Audubon and John Gould. 92pp. Size: 4to Super Royal (13¾" x 10¼" approx. )
